Bucket list treks are a fantastic way to inspire fundraising for your charity, and over the years we've facilitated numerous treks that have facilitated some amazing fundraising. The best to date has to be the 10 supporters of St Mary's Hospice we took to Everest Base Camp in 2022. The group had individual targets of £2,500 to hit, but the charity benefited from a figure that surpassed £40,000! On top of this, the supporters had an unforgettable trek, with many choosing to book further adventures with us. What's more, is St Mary's Hospice have continued to trust us with their international treks, and in April 2024 we will be taking another team out to Everest Base Camp.

When choosing who to collaborate with there really are loads of options, and with that loads of things to consider. You of course need to make sure that you're putting your faith in the right company, and we want you to be reassured that if you choose to collaborate with us your fundraisers will be in great hands from start to finish. Here's why:

• Well designed Expeditions - We strive for quality and the highest level of safety in all the trips we run. We pride ourselves on building itineraries that allow sufficient acclimatisation, and therefore increase chances of success, enjoyment and again, safety.

• Fully Legal Operations - It's easy for individuals, social media influencers or even companies to set up an international trek, but whether they're operating legally is another matter. It is a legal requirement for those selling experiences such as these to provide consumer protection, and quite simply, many don't! Rest assured, our trekker's funds are fully protected.

• A Personal Approach - We're a small company and we will always aim on giving that personable experience. Each and every booking is valued and not 'just another booking'. We will do our utmost to get everyone as prepared as we can before, and then look after them to the best of our ability on the trip.

How does it work?

In short, we're open to a collaboration which can work one of many ways. But the two main ways for you to raise funds are:

1. Subsidise the Trip - The charity offer the trip at a discounted rate as an incentive, and we invoice the charity the discounted figure per person. The fundraisers are then committed to raising a figure greater than the discounted rate. This means the charity doesn't lose out on funds, and then earns on the additional funds. 
   e.g Mount Toubkal is £625. Advertise at £425 and then encourage a minimum fundraising of £500. The charity would gain at least £300 per person. 

2. Encourage Fundraising - If you want to just offer up the opportunity to your supporters, you can promote the trip and encourage a figure for them to fundraise. There is of course less incentive, but also less commitment for all involved. Of course this will still generate great exposure for your charity.

Bespoke or Scheduled Trip
Either of the above two fundraising methods can be applied to a bespoke or scheduled date trip. A bespoke trip will be set up just for your charity. This is subject to it hitting the minimum required number of participants (listed on each of the treks and expeditions) and availability of our trek managers. We recommend at least 6 months of prep time before your chosen trek.

 

You're more than welcome to advertise places on any of our scheduled trips to individual fundraisers.
